Have you reached a point in your career where you need an MBA to take you to the next level or help you pivot towards a new career path? Or perhaps you’re feeling good about your career trajectory and don’t want to slow your momentum, but want to hone your skills to help you grow as a leader?

If your answer is “yes” to either question, then the next one might be — should I choose a full-time or part-time MBA program? Over more than three years serving on the admissions team for our working professional programs, I’ve found there are common misconceptions about what distinguishes the program offerings. I’d like to help set the record straight by answering three frequently asked questions about the Kellogg Evening & Weekend Program in particular.

FAQ for the Kellogg Evening & Weekend Program

What will my academic experience be like?

Kellogg’s Evening & Weekend MBA Program offers a high-quality curriculum with the option to specialize in majors and pathways such as data analytics, strategy, entrepreneurship, finance, and technology management, just to name a few. Through classes offered at both our Chicago and Evanston campuses, you will learn and gain insights and invaluable knowledge from the same exceptional team of world-class thought leaders, cutting-edge researchers, and expert practitioners that teach across our portfolio of MBA programs. Students tell us they appreciate how accessible Kellogg professors make themselves; they are inspired by these scholars’ passion and dedication to the needs and goals of all of our MBA students. I’d say the key difference between the two programs is that the classes taken by Evening & Weekend students are offered at times that best align with working professionals’ lives.

What about networking and extracurricular opportunities?

With more than 300 annual events that cater to a wide range of interests and goals, our Evening & Weekend students participate in everything from conferences to speaker series to networking workshops. These activities are held in the evening and on the weekends at our downtown Chicago campus to accommodate your schedule. You’ll also enjoy the opportunity to expand your network among students across Kellogg, as Evening & Weekend and Full-Time students are warmly welcome to participate in classes, events and activities at both our Chicago and Evanston campuses. And did you know? Students from all Kellogg programs participate in global electives, including Global Initiatives in Management, an intensive course that pairs classroom learning with a hands-on, in-country experience.
