Students from across the Kellogg Executive MBA Global Network convened in Toronto at York University – Schulich School of Business Oct. 28 – Nov. 2 to take classes, tour the city and immerse themselves in the local business marketplace.

On October 28, students arrived to a city covered in vibrant fall colors and began their study with Enterprise IT Strategy, taught by Professor Michael Wade.

Wade led an enthusiastic and engaging conversation with a diverse group of students who were split between IT professionals and those with little to no IT experience. The course is designed in a way that all students, regardless of their focus or industry, can add value to IT topics, like the advantages, challenges and importance of analytics and data.

Meena Gowdar EMP 98, VP of Product Management for Digital Citigroup Inc., found that despite her more than 12 years of experience in the technology industry, she still learned something new.

“I’ve seen technology change at a faster pace with time,” Gowdar said. “My key takeaway from Enterprise IT Strategy Management is to not only use technology to increase efficiency, but place importance on information, since that is the lifeline of my business.”
